The Streamlight Sidewinder features high-strength military-grade construction and four C4 LEDs. Running on two standard AA batteries, the Sidewinder is easy to operate. The Sidewinder also accepts lithium batteries for extended operation in extreme weather. A 185^o tilting head and molle web clip allow diverse positioning and easy illumination.

The military version of the Sidewinder features C4 LED technology, offering a 50,000 hour lifetime, and 100% shock resistance. The Sidewinder has four LEDs:

1. 5mm White LED: 55 lumens; 1,175 candela 70-meter beam
2. 5mm IR LED: 25m/WR (min) radiant intensity
3. 5mm Red LED: 1 lumen; 40-candela 13-meter beam
4. 5mm Blue LED: 1.8 lumens; 130 candelas 23-meter beam
